Μετά από μερικές πρώτες προσπάθειες να φτιάξουν μια μπάντα στο Όκλαντ της Καλιφόρνια στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του 2000, η μπάντα Michael Botte γεννήθηκε στη Φιλαδέλφεια το 2020 κατά τη διάρκεια της καραντίνας Covid-19.
